Recently we discovered a new coffee place behind de Bijenkorf and next to the Condomerie in the Warmoesstraat. It’s called Greendayz and a bit like the Starbucks. They have different kinds of coffee and coffee specialties and also their own version of the frappuccino. They also have prepacked sandwiches and pastries and other kinds of drinks. And best of all it is all with the environment in mind. Everything is biological and more green. For example the lids of the coffee cups are made of corn starch instead of plastic.
The coffee here is of excellent quality (a lot better than the Coffee Company) and also their coffee specialties are very inventive. The double dutch chocolate coffee for example is chocolate heaven and it comes finished with some whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. The staff is very friendly, although some could use some extra training, because they don’t know yet how to make all the drinks or what the prices are of all the different drinks.
The only downside of Greendayz is that it is too small to offer any seating. I guess they are mostly aiming at take away. There are some benches outside and a few seats inside, but nothing for sitting down for some time and meeting your friends. So hopefully they can open a second shops soon closer to my house and with some more seats 
Greendayz is for me the best coffee place in Amsterdam at the moment (lets see what happens when Starbucks comes to Central Station 
). The only downside is the lack of seating space.
