Bagels & WrapsToday before going with my friend to the food fair at the Haarlemmerdijk, there was some time for a quick coffee at the Bagels & Wraps just off Leidseplein. Bagels & Wraps is on a corner very close to the MacBike store and behind Wagamama, so you can easily miss it. It’s not so big, but very cosy. There is a big counter and some tables and some products on display you can buy.

After we sat down and looked at the big menu on the wall, I was surprised that a girl came to our table to give us some menus. Most of the time in small places like this you have to order at the counter. We had already made our decision from the menu on the wall, so I asked the girl to bring us two lattes and a chocolate chip cookie. Although all the bagels and the wraps on the menu also looked quite nice, I didn’t have space to try them. I did see someone take one of the wraps though and it seemed quite small for the asking price, so better take a bagel when you come with a big appetite ;-)

The coffees and the cookie arrived quite quickly on a silver tray. The coffee tasted okay and the chocolate chip cookie was delicious. It brought back memories from the old days at Gary’s Muffins. Gary’s Muffins used to be like Bagels & Beans now, only bad management ran it into the ground, so now only the bakery remains i guess and they sell their cookies to Bagels & Wraps. The cookies are huge, so I really recommend them :-)

After paying up I met my friend to go to the food fair on the Haarlemmerdijk. It was a bit sad, most people really overpricing their food and nothing much special. We did find at huge piece of brownie for only €2 though. It tasted more like chocolate cake, but who cares for that price!

Anyway Bagels & Wraps is a nice place to grab a coffee and a bagel in a pleasant atmosphere with table service.
