Shiva is an Indian restaurant just of Rembrandtplein. Shiva has quite a upper class finish in the interior, but fortunately the prices are not upper class and quite normal prices for the center of Amsterdam. When we got inside we got shown a table and were given our menus straight away. Very quickly a very friendly girl came to take our drinks order, which came soon after. Then one of the waiters came to take our food order. I decided to take a tandori grill menu. They have a few menus you can choose from, so you can taste a variety of Indian dishes. For a starter we took some papadums to share. The main course arrived soon after we finished the starters.
The different pieces of tandori meat were served on an interesting looking plate as was the salad that came with it. Too bad I couldn’t take them home with me 
There was also some rice and some kind of vegetable curry with the menu. The curry was quite spicy as were some of the pieces of meat.
Even though I was stuffed after the main course, I still wanted to try some Indian dessert. I took some kind of rice pudding with almonds. It tasted very good, not like rice at all 
So completely stuffed we asked for the bill and left.
Shiva is a good Indian restaurant to go to. The staff is really friendly and the food tastes good, but be prepared from some spice!
