Haagen-DazsThe last few weeks the weather has been really terrible in Amsterdam. Rain, rain and more rain and sometimes a little sunshine. Not really summer, thank you global warming and changing rain patterns! As always we were having some wokfood before going to the cinema. But the movie started later than normal, so we had some time to kill. As one of my friend is crazy about Haagen-Dazs ice cream, we decided to have a quick dessert before the movie at the Haagen-Dazs on the Rembrandtplein, which is not far from the cinema.

When we got there we decided to order at the counter, because we only had half an hour before the movie started and from past experiences we know that the table service is not the quickest. It was a bit busy, more busy than you would expect on a rainy day! The girl that helped just started I think, because she didn’t quite get the hang of the coffee machine yet and she didn’t know that their special muffin is called a bruffin, a brownie-muffin ;-)

She did get everything right though and she was very friendly, which made up for her inexperience. The non table service area is a bit small though. When you order at the counter, you are not supposed to consume it in the table service area, but there were only six chairs inside the non table service area and almost all were taken. Two by some french girls who were long finished, but had no intention of leaving. So we sat outside, luckily there was a little roof that sheltered us from the rain :-)

A nice place to get some ice cream, although the dishes are a bit overpriced. But it’s better when the weather is good!
