IKEA We from DaarZijnWeWeer don’t snub any place, so we even come to the restaurant of the IKEA! We were lured in by pretty pictures and cheap prices ;-) The haring salad looked fabulous on the picture so we just had to try it and we needed a drink too, because we were thirsty from walking here.

Anyway the IKEA restaurant is a bog standard self-service restaurant were you get your tray and go past the coolings to select your food. The warm food you have to ask for though and if it is busy you might have to wait or they might run out of stuff. And speaking of running out, the haring salad was not there! It was finished :( So we took a wrap with salmon instead, it’s still fish. For drinking we took interesting looking fruit smoothies from Sweden. The taste was okay, a bit like lemonade, so I found it hard to believe that it was 100% fruit. The salmon wrap was a bit on the cold side and didn’t have too much flavor. The chocolate mousse I had as dessert was good though :-)

Another interesting thing was the self-service coffee machine. You are supposed to get a cup and pay for it at the cash register and then you can put your coffee in there. Being dutch I thought off several ways to avoid having to pay, from taking your own cup to buying one at the IKEA ;-)

The service was fine, the girl behind the cash register was quick and friendly and the restaurant was kept clean. So not a bad place to go when you need to get some furniture.
