La Ruche is the self service restaurant of the department store De Bijenkorf on Dam square. It’s kind of the same concept as La Place of V&D with the same products. Maybe the assortment is a bit smaller here than at La Place (no chickens with curry sauce or salad buffet). Anyway this is a good place to go for having a coffee with something sweet or having a juice. If you can get a seat by the window, you have a nice view of the busy Dam square or the Damrak street. The place looks a bit cleaner than La Place, that’s maybe because it’s less busy or kept more tidy, because De Bijenkorf is considered a bit posh so they need to think of their image.
A good place for having a rest while shopping
