Yesterday we went shopping and of course when you go shopping you need a break with a coffee and a little nibble. As we were looking for books in the Selexyz-Scheltema, we took out break in the Bagels & Beans that is located on the first floor of this bookstore. It was a nice day, spring is still gracing Amsterdam, so it was very busy in the centre and in the Bagels & Beans as well.
Even though it was busy, the girl arrived very quickly to clean off our table and take our order. Our coffee’s (XL lattes 
) and my brownie arrived soon after, but the bagel we ordered we had to wait for a little longer. I have to add it was a non standard cinnamon-raisin bagel, so it had to be baked off I guess. Also there was an little old lady there, who I think had the first bagel in her life, and was asking the waitress about her tosti (bagel). And the waitress took her time to answer the lady and make sure she was satisfied even though it was busy. That’s good service taking your time for your customers. After a little while the bagel with banana and maple syrup arrived with knife and fork! (at some Bagels & Beans they only give you a knife and no fork and you have to ask for one). All in all a good day of spring
