In Holland we have no Starbucks, which I often complain about, so we go to The Coffee Company instead. The muffins are smaller and the coffee tastes worse, but what choice do we have… I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the service today at The Coffee Company. They have several locations throughout Amsterdam and are still expanding, but today I was at the location next to Cafe de Jaren.
As I said I was pleasantly surprised by the service today. Both girls were eager to take my order. Normally you get a sour face and an attitude to match. I took a cafe latte and a triple chocolate chip cookie
I love chocolate, it always tastes good. Except for the one time it was in a meat dish… Anyway, the coffee was okay, tasting slightly burned, like always at The Coffee Company. But the barista made a heart pattern in the milk foam, which was nice. Later I had a cafe moca and she did the same. I guess she takes pride in her work and it makes the life of the customers a little more interesting too.
All in all a good experience with The Coffee Company today, but past results are no guarantee for the future!

Thanks for posting this review of The Coffee Company. I’ll have to keep this place in mind and sit down for a cup if I ever make it to Holland in the future
